Animale Style

It's finally the weekend so it's time to break out my coconuts and some SPF 100 to hang out poolside in my FAVORITE one piece, The Pony Suit by Minimale Animale.  There are so many fun one piece bathing suits out this summer with interesting cuts (as long as you're not worried about weird tan lines).  I love this suit because its the perfect amount of modest and minimal; with its color blocked sporty tee-shirt style top yet high cut leg and asymmetrical cut out middle.  I love everything that comes from Minimale Animale (instagram: @theminimaleanimale) - but I will admit it's not for every body type.  Their suits have pretty minimal coverage and use lots of sheer fabrics, so if you're really busty or curvy, you may end up looking a little too porn starry... not that that's necessarily a bad thing!  Worn here with some platform Converse style hi-top sneakers by Max Star.

Here are a few of my other favorite minimally modest one piece bathing suits this season:

Barely Legal by Minimale Animale
Beach Bombshell by Forever 21
High Roller by Beach Riot
Caged Chaos by Nasty Gal
Goldfish Monokini by Wildfox
Cooha by UNIF

I heart Deandri and LZZR Jewelry

I love crazy, colorful, and eccentric outfits, but really nothing beats a little black and white.  Its simple and classic;  which is why I am obsessed with these two Los Angeles based brands: Deandri and LZZR Jewelry.

The whimsical Pixie baby doll dress is one of my favorite pieces by Deandri, alone or paired with their Collness Harness to give it a little edge.  Worn here with Deandri Ginger platform shoes (which are more comfortable than any pair of heels this high should be) and these adorable cat collar pins I found on Etsy,  it's the perfect black and white combination.

The upperCASE ring and Mini case ring are the perfect finishing touches.  If you don't know about LZZR Jewelry yet- then your welcome!  Simple but sleek, using reclaimed metals and handmade locally in Los Angeles. I usually have a hard time accessorizing myself with jewelry but anytime I wear a LZZR piece, I feel like I really look like I know what I'm doing.

Right now until May 27th at use my discount code "brittany20" and get 20% off your entire order!  Instagram:  @lzzrjewelry

Hawaiian Punch

Inspired by summertime, Hawaiian shirts, and Palm Springs getaways, I've been loving all-over bold, colorful prints.  The easiest way to match a bold print is to... well... match it with the exact same print! This matching top and skort set by Obey is paired with wooden Olga platform wedges by Deandri.  Keep accessories simple like this classic geometric necklacebracelets, and ring, all by LZZR Jewelry, to add a little something without being overpowering.

Some other bold pattern sets I love that are great as separates but even more fun to wear together:
Green palm halter and body con skirt set by Motel
Lemon leggings and crop top Motel
Love love love crop top and skater skirt by O-mighty
Wild flower shorts and cami by Mink Pink
Butterfly crop tie shirt and high waisted shorts by Motel

Top and bottom set featured available at Karmaloop.  Right now use promo code "SUMMATIME" for 20% off orders + free shipping.

Vintage Crush

Have you ever walked into a party and seen another girl wearing the same dress as you?  The worst!  Classics never go out of style, which is why I love vintage clothing- not to mention its always fun to have a unique piece that no one has but you!  This 1960's orange quilted scooter dress is one of my most loved vintage finds. Paired with a black waist belt, some vintage stockings, and suede Mary Janes gives this dress the perfect retro yet modern look. Vintage clothing has so much character, history, and amazing construction you just can't find in clothes today. Finding the perfect vintage piece can be a time consuming search, so here are a few of my favorite shops online I'd love to share with you:

This dress was found on Seven Of Swords, Mary Jane shoes by Jeffrey Campbell- find similar here,  elastic waist belt, and vintage stockings- find similar here

I've Been Drankin'

It's already summer here in Los Angeles which means it's time for beach days, barbecues, and sipping fruity drinks poolside.  For me, finding the perfect bikini can be challenging- but I'm really loving retro inspired cuts with bold patterns, and high waisted bottoms- which are flattering on every body type.
Cover up crop top by O-mighty. Watermelon high-waist bikini bottoms and bandeau top from American Apparel. Jeremy Scott inspired Mickey Mouse sunglasses.  Watermelon pool float online here,  or available in store at Urban Outfitters

To Dye For

Hi! Thanks for checking out my new blog. I don't
consider myself an expert but I definitely spend most of my
time shopping, getting dressed up, and shooting photos.
SO, here is me doing all of that in blog form!

This summer I am all about bright colors, loose knit fabrics
and tie dye; especially when it comes from O-Mighty.
This soft, vibrant tie dye halter from O-Mighty is paired
with a flowy gauze skirt from Urban Outfitters. I added
Y.R.U. white creepers to give it a sporty look while
heart shaped sunglasses and a velvet choker tie it all together.
